Tom Minkov Brings a Personal Approach to Pain Relief in Rishon LeZion

Some pain refuses to follow the script: the scans come back clean, yet sitting, walking or sleeping still hurts. At Recovio in Rishon LeZion, founder Tom Minkov has built his clinic around exactly that moment.

Most people who arrive at a pain clinic have already heard the word "normal" more than once. Normal X-ray, normal MRI, normal blood tests. The pain, meanwhile, has not read the report. For many of them, the hardest part is not the ache itself but the feeling that nobody is looking at the whole picture.

A clinic built around the person, not the scan

Recovio, the clinic Tom Minkov founded in Rishon LeZion, starts from a simple idea: pain deserves a proper conversation. According to the clinic, a first appointment begins with time to talk about the pain, how it started and what it now stands in the way of, followed by a physical examination, a review of the documents the patient already has and an assessment of how the body actually moves.

Only then does a plan take shape. It is personal, it comes with follow up, and it is built to be checked: what should change, how both sides will know, and what happens next if it does not.

From sports therapy to pain and movement

Minkov's own path explains the clinic's style. He began in massage and sports therapy, working with bodies under strain, and over the years turned his focus to pain and movement problems that do not settle on their own. Today he works alongside a team of practitioners, and the clinic combines several tools rather than relying on a single technique for everyone.

That combination is the point. Instead of fitting every patient into one method, the plan follows the person: their history, their goals and the activity they most want back, whether that is a full workday at a desk, a morning walk or a night of unbroken sleep.

When the imaging says nothing

The clinic gives particular attention to people whose pain continues even though imaging does not explain it. Health services such as Britain's NHS note that a normal scan does not make pain imaginary, and that imaging findings do not measure how much something hurts. For patients who have spent months being told that everything looks fine, being taken seriously is often where progress begins.

Recovio does not present itself as a replacement for medical care. When something needs a doctor's attention, that comes first: warning signs such as sudden weakness in both legs, loss of bladder or bowel control, or pain after a serious accident call for urgent medical assessment.

Visiting Recovio

The clinic is at HaHalmonit 18 in Rishon LeZion. According to its website, it is open Sunday to Thursday from 08:00 to 15:00, with evening hours on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:00 to 22:00, and appointments can be arranged by phone on 058-7858708.

For anyone who has collected a drawer full of normal results and still wakes up hurting, the clinic's message is an encouraging one: the search for answers does not have to end with the last scan.
