Tamer Mohammed Ibrahim al Sabbagh was targeted in Jabalia on Monday. A day earlier, a separate strike in Gaza City eliminated Musa Abd Mohammed Hamouda. Both belonged to Hamas’s Nukhba force, the security services said.
The announcements detailed their involvement in two attacks separated by nearly two years: the October 7, 2023 assault on Israel and the September 8, 2025 explosive attack against soldiers from the 52nd Battalion.
Al Sabbagh Took Part in the October 7 Infiltration
In Tuesday’s announcement, the IDF and Shin Bet identified al Sabbagh as a Nukhba terrorist who entered Israel during the October 7 massacre and participated in Shani Louk’s abduction.
His elimination took place in Jabalia, in northern Gaza. The security services specifically identified his participation in the abduction, alongside his involvement in the infiltration into Israel.

The announcement concerning al Sabbagh addressed his actions during the massacre. The operation against Hamouda concerned his role in preparing a subsequent attack on Israeli forces inside Gaza.
Hamouda Helped Prepare the Attack on the 52nd Battalion Crew
The IDF and Shin Bet said Hamouda was involved in planning the explosive attack that killed Lt. Matan Abramovich, Sgt. Amit Aryeh Regev, Staff Sgt. Uri Lamed and Sgt. Gadi Kotel on September 8, 2025.
The four soldiers were members of a tank crew from the 52nd Battalion. During Operation Gideon’s Chariots, they served under the command of the 162nd Division.
Hamouda was eliminated in Gaza City on Sunday. His role, as described by the security services, was participation in planning the attack that claimed the soldiers’ lives.
The IDF identified the 215th Artillery Brigade as the unit that carried out the strike against him.
Strike Carried Out by the Division That Lost the Soldiers
The 215th Artillery Brigade belongs to the 162nd Division, connecting the operation against Hamouda directly to the formation under whose command the four soldiers had served.
A brigade within that division therefore carried out the strike against a terrorist involved in planning the fatal attack on its tank crew.
The operations in Gaza City and Jabalia targeted two Nukhba terrorists with distinct responsibilities. Hamouda helped prepare the explosive attack against the soldiers; al Sabbagh crossed into Israel during the October 7 massacre and took part in Louk’s abduction.
Their eliminations were announced by the IDF and Shin Bet as separate operations against Hamas terrorists involved in attacks on Israeli civilians and troops.
